UP Manila Achieves NPC Registration Compliance; UPM–NIH Strengthens Data Privacy Initiatives

The University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila) has successfully renewed its National Privacy Commission (NPC) Registration, receiving its official Seal of Registration for its designated Data Protection Officer (DPO) and registered Data Processing Systems.

As UP Manila’s health and research arm, the National Institutes of Health (UPM–NIH) affirms its alignment with this institutional compliance, reinforcing the University’s commitment to responsible data governance, ethical research practices, and the protection of personal data across all units.

The NPC Seal of Registration confirms UP Manila’s adherence to NPC Circular No. 2022-04 and its continued commitment to cultivating a privacy-aware environment across its academic, clinical, and research operations.
