Avian IgY Technology (December 2013)
An interesting study in the works is the investigation of Immunoglobulin Y (IgY) technology as a source for reagents in infectious disease diagnostics. Little is known about IgY technology, and IMBB fully realizes its potential applications for both human and veterinary medicine. Target infectious diseases that will be worked on are Dengue, Malaria, Salmonella, Tuberculosis and Chlamydia. In the future, it is expected that a wider range of diseases will be able to utilize the fruits of this exploration.
